Welcome to InkStance ("Company," "we," "our," "us").

By accessing or using our platform—including the InkStance mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform")—you ("User," "Writer," "Reader," or "Marketer") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree, you must not use our Platform.

1. Eligibility:

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your jurisdiction).
  • By using InkStance, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and lawful.

2. User Accounts:

  • You are responsible for maintaining your account credentials.
  • You may not create accounts using false information or on behalf of others without authorization.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.

3. Content & Intellectual Property:

  • User-Generated Content: You retain ownership of the content you create (books, stories, articles, marketing material).
  • License Grant: By publishing on InkStance, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote your work solely within the Platform and its marketing materials.
  • You confirm that your content does not infringe on any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, etc.).

4. Earnings & Payments:

  • Writers may earn revenue from sales, marketing promotions, and other monetization features.
  • Payouts are subject to transaction fees, service charges, and compliance with tax regulations.
  • InkStance may withhold or delay payments in cases of fraud, disputes, or policy violations.

5. Prohibited Uses:

You agree not to use the Platform for:

  • Publishing illegal, hateful, pornographic, or harmful material.
  • Spamming, phishing, or fraudulent activities.
  • Copying, reverse-engineering, or tampering with the app's code or services.
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive behavior toward other users.

6. Platform Ownership

  • The InkStance name, logo, design, and all software features are our exclusive intellectual property.
  • You may not use our trademarks or branding without prior written consent.

7. Termination:

  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms.
  • You may delete your account at any time. Certain data (e.g., payment and legal records) may be retained as required by law.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability:

  • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted service, accuracy, or error-free performance.
  • InkStance is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, downtime, or third-party actions.
  • Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Privacy:

  • Your use of InkStance is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Updates:

  • We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on the Platform with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of InkStance means acceptance of updated Terms.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria.
